I do remember reading a previous book in this series, and while I had enjoyed that one I hadn't picked up another. Edge of Dawn was a thrill ride, and despite being further along in the series I was able to follow it very well and it captured my attention and never let go. I think one of the things that made this book so compelling was the two leading characters. Adrian created such memorable characters in Mira and Kellan who faced such huge obstacles to being together but their connection got them through. I loved following these two characters as they found each other again, tried hard to let the other go, were willing to put others before themselves, and ultimately couldn't let each other go. These two characters and their struggle really sold the book for me and re-energized the series for me. I definitely plan on going back and reading the books that I had missed. Overall Edge of Dawn was an amazing read that I would most definitely recommend.
