The Thirteenth Tale was actually a pick for my mystery book club, and I found that I had really enjoyed it. This book ended up being very different from the usual books that I have read for book club, but I found that I really enjoyed this Gothic style mystery. Setterfield does a great job with building her mystery and making her tale suspenseful with the introduction of this missing tale and this mysterious author. Margaret is very well developed throughout the book, and I really enjoyed how Setterfield interwove Margaret's past with the story being told by Vida. Overall The Thirteenth Tale was a great read that kept the reader's interest from beginning to end.
