Its been a while since I had read this series and since I had jumped ahead quite a bit, it took me a little bit to catch up to the current events. Cornwell however did a good job at providing the reader with the details needed to jump into the action so while it is probably best to read this series in order it still can be done. Dust has a complicated mystery because of the fact that Kay, Marino, Benton, and Lucy need to discover how far a cover up goes with their own people as well as solve the murder of a woman connected to Lucy. Cornwell does a great job at showing how this case affects Kay's relationships with all three of the people closest to her, and I liked how Cornwell used this case to tie into a case from Kay's past. Overall Dust was a great read that I would definitely recommend to fans of this series.
