A Biscuit, A Casket by Liz Mugavero

A Biscuit, A Casket was a great read that really reminded me of one of my favorite series, The Cat Who books by Lillian Jackson Braun.  I have been looking for another series to capture my interest like that one, and this series may be the one.  Stan is a very well developed heroine, and I really enjoyed her love for animals which has led to her new career.  This career leads her right into a murder mystery causing Stan to try and figure out what happened.  The book is full of some great secondary characters as well as some great animal friends in particular Nutty, Henry, and Scruffy.  Overall A Biscuit, A Casket proved to be a great read that I would most definitely recommend to any animal lover that enjoys a great mystery.  I have already added the first book in this series to my to be read pile, and I can't wait to read future adventures with Stan and friends.

Received a copy of A Biscuit, A Casket through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
