Temptation in Shadows was a quick yet enjoyable read that captures the reader's attention from the very beginning and never lets go. I really liked how Showalter threw the reader into the middle of the action and then goes back and lets the reader know what events led up to it before moving forward. This approach really made the stakes higher by getting the reader more invested in these characters. Despite the length, both characters are well developed, and I liked how their love story developed. I kind of hope that this story is the start of a series because I really enjoyed these characters and also became intrigued by some of the secondary characters. Overall Temptation in Shadows was an enjoyable read that I would most definitely recommend if you are looking for a great paranormal romance.
