Midnight's Surrender is the first work that I have read by Grant, and I found that I really enjoyed it. Being unfamiliar with this series, I found that I was able to follow the story very well, and it proved to be a great introduction to the series leading me to want to check out more books in the series. Rennie and Dale were both developed very well considering the length of the story, and I found myself really coming to care about both characters. Both Rennie and Dale felt very alone and since it is a holiday novella I was happy that each found their Christmas wish. Midnight's Surrender proved very hard to put down keeping the reader turning the pages from the very beginning until the end. Overall Midnight's Surrender proved to be an enjoyable read, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a great holiday tale or anyone looking for a great romantic story.
